My Projects

Digital Project Skills & Intercultural Collaboration for Youth

2025 / Ongoing

Context:

DigiSkills is an Erasmus+–funded initiative addressing the global skills mismatch highlighted by UNICEF and WBCSD. The project aims to equip 2,500 young adults from Sweden, Portugal, Czech Republic, Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda with essential digital competencies and intercultural communication skills to improve employability in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

Challenge

Many young people feel unprepared for the demands of the digital job market, especially with the fast pace of AI and digital transformation. Skills gaps in digital project management, media literacy, and intercultural collaboration have contributed to youth unemployment, migration pressures, and workplace integration challenges.

Approach

Through a multi-country collaboration, DigiSkills delivers Interactive Open Online Courses (IOOCs), virtual exchanges, intercultural dialogues, mentorship programs, and digital project simulations. The program emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, leadership, and cultural sensitivity, while also creating inclusive access for participants from underrepresented and lower-income groups.

Outcome (Ongoing/Expected)

DigiSkills will train 2,500 participants, develop 20 intercultural curricula, launch 5 IOOCs, run 6 simulation projects with NGOs, and deliver measurable improvements in digital and intercultural skills. The initiative supports Europe’s Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) and contributes to building a more equitable, digitally skilled global workforce.
