Guido’s Heart is a business dedicated to connecting exceptional Ghanaian artisans with customers who value high-quality, sustainable, handmade, and fair-trade goods. The business, founded by Sandra Sohne-Johnston, operates a business model which relies on talented artisans producing quality products and customers finding interest in such items.

During the pandemic, more people started shopping online. This pushed Guido’s Heart to knock on The Cobalt Partners’ doors as it was only a physical store at that time.

Upon realizing that there should be more awareness regarding its products, Guido’s Heart reached out to The Cobalt Partners which provided a clear vision of how the company can improve. Cobalt’s tech solutions included launching an e-commerce website for the business and enhancing its online presence through social media platforms.

The Cobalt Partners first provided Guido’s Heart with a list of things needed to get right to launch an online store and that included buying a domain name, choosing a web-hosting provider a payment processor, and an e-commerce platform to use, along with guaranteeing initial capital and designing the right packaging. Cobalt guaranteed that the business will have a customer-friendly website.

Beyond customer experience, Cobalt also worked on the admin side of the website. Admins needed to manage new stock, available stock, out-of-stock items, inventory, and customer orders. Finalizing the website involved heavy quality assurance and testing. 

In less than two months, the online business was up and running.

As social media is one of the main channels for marketing and reaching a wider audience, Cobalt assisted Guido’s Heart in developing a solid social media strategy after launching their accounts.

The strategy helped the business reach more than 5000 followers across all social media platforms in less than 6 months. The Instagram and Facebook accounts, in specific, helped the business reach more customers, keep track of reviews, and respond to queries. 

The goal was to reach customers interested in Guido’s Heart’s product and vendors worldwide who share its vision and want to advertise on the site.
